I am so proud and happy to announce our Athlete of the Month – Rachel Green
Rachel started at MCCF a few moths back and has been such a dedicated athlete. She shows up at 5:30 am, 9:00am, 5:30 pm….you name it, she comes to any class that will fit her schedule! Rachel is a committed athlete and it shows! Her huge smile, positive attitude and ability to just attack any WOD that we throw at her is so inspiring! I asked Rachel to tell us how she came to MCCF and what she has gotten out of it. Here is what she said:
“I am so happy with my decision to finally join MCCF. I wanted to try CrossFit for years but was too intimidated. A few years back I did the Onramp at another gym but was so overwhelmed that I never went to a class. When my gym closed down and I saw MCCF offer on Facebook to try a month, I was ready to give it another shot. From the start everyone was so friendly, introducing themselves and welcoming me to the gym. Although still scared and intimidated, I stayed and I am so happy that I stuck it out.
When I first started my goal was to get in shape and lose weight. I had been running and going to the gym for years, but I never saw the results that I wanted. I had hoped that CrossFit would change this. A few months in, I have already lost 15 lbs. and I am getting stronger. Although my goal is to still get in shape, more importantly, I want to get stronger! Every day I am amazed at what the athletes at MCCF can do and their successes are motivating me to work harder. I am seeing so many positive changes in myself and am actually looking forward to working out each day (yes, even at 5:30 am!). I am so happy with my decision to join MCCF and I am excited to see what I will be able to accomplish in the future”.
Rachel, we could not be more proud of your dedication or more happy that you choose MCCF. You are very inspiring and we are all cheering for your success!!!!!
