Just a few things to remember…..

Hey guys!

I just want to go over a few things with everyone so we are all on the same page and the day’s in the gym go smoothly!

First thing is Mobility! We are great at providing you with warm-ups and mobility at the beginning of class to ensure your bodies are all warmed up and ready to go. However, we are cutting into class time and having to cut the strength portion short in order to get to the WOD and that’s not cool. So, after reading a little more about warming up, we have concluded that it is more important to do a dynamic warm-up with moves that mimic the moves you will be doing in the WOD and do your more static stretching either at home, before the class or after the WOD. Not to worry, we will keep a couple of stretches in each day, but more of the focus will be on dynamics that will get your heart rate up and your muscles warm pre-wod. So, if you feel like you need more mobility before we begin, please get to the box early, do it at home or as always, you are welcome to stay and stretch afterwards! We will try our best to save time after each class and before the next one for you to stretch.

On that note, PLEASE REMEMBER that we offer a full 30 min Mobility class on Saturday mornings at 7:30am with Maggie as well as an hour of Yoga on Wednesday nights at 7:30pm with Diane Day! Both classes are awesome, come see for yourselves!

And the next order of business is just that, order. MCCF is a big home and you are all the big family that “lives” there! We love that and we want you to feel like it is your second home. However, there are times that the coaches are coaching and the noise level and the silliness is less like a home and more like a frat house! We know it’s awesome to see everyone and that there is a ton of energy after you are done with a WOD but please be mindful of the class that is coming in behind you. They also want to be coached and in order for that to happen, they kind of need to hear the coach! So please, when you are done wodding, go into the back room or take a corner of the gym but keep it tame so the coach can instruct and the members can learn about what they are doing for the day. And PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if a child runs out of the room, get them right back in. No one wants anybody’s children to get hurt with weights or kettlebells or jump ropes. The child would be hurt, the parent would be livid and the member would feel really terrible. Let’s avoid this from happening!

And on that note, we will be adding more babysitting hours! Stay tuned as to which nights as we are still working it out but will have a schedule soon!
