Our Athlete of the month David Avery describes himself as a forty-something computer geek that has been coming to MCCF since September of 2013 and found MCCF through the advice of friends. After losing a good amount of weight prior to MCCF through diet and running, he discovered that something was missing and found Crossfit as a great de-stresser and way to build strength and self-confidence. Dave has been an avid mountain biker for many years, and originally thought Crossfit would be a good fit for off season times to stay in shape for running and riding but has found it a great fit year round. Recently with help from the coaches at MCCF Dave has stepped up his game and begun a paleo diet and attends MCCF workouts 3 times weekly, with trail running, mountain biking and hiking filling in the rest. Dave was also kind enough to share his before and after photos. What an amazing transformation! Bravo!
