We have a very special Athlete of the Month for November. All of our athletes are special because they push themselves on a daily basis but when you see a 15 year old push themselves with the same discipline as an adult does, you know you’ve got greatness in the making. Congratulations to Jack Lavarreda! His father Hector has been with MCCF for years and when he brought his son Jack to us over the summer, we were so excited. In the months that Jack has been a part of MCCF, he has accomplished so much! We asked Jack a few questions about his CrossFit journey and this is what he said:
“I am honored to be MCCF’s athlete of the month! I joined CrossFit because I felt like I wasn’t pushing my body to its full potential and after a few WODs, I knew CrossFit was what I was looking for. My most memorable moment would have to be when I reached my first PR. I felt an overwhelming sense of pride because I knew that I was finally becoming a crossfitter. CrossFit has given me the endurance and strength to excel in kickboxing and Ju Jitsu. Gone are the days of mediocre punching because after just 2 weeks my hits were strong and fast. CrossFit has made me a better, happier person and I’m very lucky to be a member of this box!”
Well said Jack! We are so happy that you chose to be a member of our MCCF community! We look forward to your MANY accomplishments to come!
Congratulations Jack, you are the MCCF Athlete of the Month!
